The European Union in Sierra Leone has supported the rehabilitation of 100 schools across the country.

The support according to them came as part of their plan to support the government on the free quality education and support to the human capital development in the country.

They have also commended the government on the investment placed in the area of educational development in the country.

The EU maintained that one of their concrete supports is the medium term development plan 2019-2023 and that has involved the rehabilitation of 100 schools for over 10,000 students in every region of Sierra Leone as they are focused on the equality, quality teaching and learning.

The EU has also contributed to the construction/rehabilitation of over 85% of the Trans West-African highway through Sierra Leone which include two important bridges in Magbele and Mabang.
