Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio has departed from Freetown International Airport today to attend the 9th Annual London Political Summit and Awards 2024.

The summit, hosted by the C&M Centre for Leadership and Good Governance in partnership with the OSHA Association, will take place from October 9-11 at the House of Parliament, Westminster Palace, London.

The theme of this year’s summit, “Fostering Sustainable Peace and Democratic Order: The Visionary Leadership Imperative for Socio-Economic and Gender Equality in Political Governance,” aligns with the First Lady’s commitment to promoting peace, democracy, and gender equality in Sierra Leone and beyond.

As a Special Guest Speaker and Award Recipient, Fatima Bio will have the opportunity to share their insights on these critical issues and engage with global leaders from around the world.

The summit will provide a platform for participants to discuss pressing challenges facing the world today and explore innovative solutions. Fatima Bio is expected to contribute valuable perspectives on the role of visionary leadership in driving socio-economic development and fostering sustainable governance.
