Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone, will join global leaders, policymakers, and business executives as a featured speaker at the African Economic Global Convergence (AEGC) 2025 Summit. The event will be held on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80) from September 21–22, 2025, in New York City.

Dr. Fatima Maada Bio is expected to share her perspective on human capital development, women’s leadership, and social impact. She is widely recognized for her Hands Off Our Girls campaign and her advocacy through the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD).

Her participation highlights Sierra Leone’s growing global presence under the leadership of His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, with the country reaffirming its commitment to building a resilient and competitive economy where no one is left behind.
