The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Fatima Bio, has arrived safely in Türkiye to participate in this year’s International Forum on Climate Change and Zero Waste.

Writing on her social media, Fatima Bio stated that, as an eminent member of the United Nations Zero Waste Advisory Board, she is attending the high-level forum to engage with global leaders, policymakers, and sustainability advocates.

“The event focuses on innovative solutions and forging global alliances in pursuit of a zero waste future,” she wrote.

The forum brings together influential figures from around the world to exchange ideas, showcase success stories in reducing waste, and promote sustainable practices that protect the planet’s natural resources.

Sierra Leone’s participation demonstrates the country’s growing commitment to environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and global cooperation on zero-waste initiatives.
