First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone and president of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), Fatima Maada Bio, held a Strategic Meeting with the Executive Secretary of OAFLAD, Dr Nardos Berhanue, ahead of the First Partners Global Academy.
She stated on her Facebook, “As president of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development, I had the honor of holding a strategic meeting with the Executive Secretary of OAFLAD, Dr Nardos Berhanue, ahead of the First Partners Global Academy hosted at the prestigious Ford Foundation in New York City, USA.’’

Our discussion focused on deepening OAFLAD’s impact across the continent, exploring new opportunities for collaboration, enhancing outreach, and strengthening our shared commitment to women’s empowerment, health, and education. She stated.
First lady, also noted that during the meeting she was also briefed on important developments within the OAFLAD Secretariat, and I am proud of the progress we continue to make together.
Finally, she concluded by saying the meeting reaffirms our united vision to drive meaningful, sustainable development across Africa, through strategic partnerships and collective action.
