First Lady of Sierra Leone, Dr. Fatima Bio expressed her deep appreciation for Sierra Leone’s hardworking people on International Labour Day.

In a statement released today, Mrs. Bio commended all Sierra Leoneans who tirelessly contribute to the nation’s growth and development. She acknowledged their dedication and efforts, emphasizing that their hard work “will never go unnoticed.”

“I commend each and every one of you for your efforts in building a better future for Sierra Leone,” the First Lady stated.

She called for reflection on the importance of fair wages, safe working conditions, and upholding labour rights for all workers across the country. Mrs. Bio also urged remembering those still striving for better opportunities and offering them support.

The First Lady emphasized the importance of national unity, urging everyone to work together towards a more inclusive and prosperous society where everyone’s labour is valued and respected.
