The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Madam Fatima Maada Bio, on Tuesday, October 29, 2025, graced the 102nd Anniversary Celebration of the Proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye as Guest of Honour. The event took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Freetown.

In her keynote address, Madam Fatima Bio extended heartfelt congratulations to the government and people of Türkiye for their remarkable achievements over the years.

She also expressed profound appreciation to the Turkish Ambassador to Sierra Leone, H.E. Yusuf Burak Rende, and the people of Türkiye for their unwavering friendship, support, and continued commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

“As we celebrate 54 years of strong, brotherly, and diplomatic relations between Sierra Leone and Türkiye, this gathering reminds us that our partnership is built on mutual respect, shared values, and a collective vision for progress,” the First Lady noted.
