On Monday 30th January 2023, Rosemond Saffie Lossie became the first graduate of the Diamond Center College and also the first female diamond-certified person in Sierra Leone.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, Lossie stated how excited she was after completing the course, and adding that she hopes to make judicious use of her certificate.

She encouraged other females to go for the course, adding that the diamond industry may be male-dominated but should not only be limited to men.

David Christ Nze, the proprietor of Diamond College highlighted the numerous courses offered by the college, noting that they are very rigorous in making someone to be fully schooled in diamond-related programs.

 

He said the diamond industry provides employment opportunities for people world wide as it is a lucrative one.

The proprietor disclosed that students of the college will be able to examine diamonds, noting that sixteen modules are been offered during the course. He added that one is eligible to obtain a certificate after passing fourteen out of the sixteen of those modules.

Mr. Nze thanked and appreciated the lecturers, students partners, parents, and all for believing in the vision and mission of the institution.

Diamond Center College offers various diamond-related courses and is located at Percival Street in Freetown.
