It is reported that fire broke out at Songo Toll Gate yesterday evening.

Citizens reported the fire outbreak on social media.

Pictures shared on social media showed fire blazing inside of one of the booths of the toll gate and smokes emanating from the roof of it.

There have been no official report so far as to what caused the fire accident at the tool gate.

No injuries and full scale of the accident have also not been reported so far.

The toll gate, located at Makoloh Village is of three toll gates along the main highway linking Freetown to the Provinces.

The toll gates were built by a Chinese company in partnership with the government of Sierra Leone. Road travelers are expected to pay for passing through the highway over the next 25 years.
