The First Lady of Sierra Leone, Fatima Maada Bio, on Thursday reached out to members of the Vibbi family in Kandu Leppiama Chiefdom, Kenema District, following reports of the traditional illness of Paramount Chief Madam Theresa Vibbi.

In a message issued by her office, the First Lady conveyed sympathy on behalf of President Julius Maada Bio, noting the President’s respect for traditional leaders and their role in fostering community cohesion.

She expressed concern for the wellbeing of the Paramount Chief and extended words of comfort to her relatives, including Dr. Vibbi.

Mrs. Bio said she was deeply moved upon receiving news of Madam Vibbi’s condition and offered prayers for strength, unity, and comfort to the family during this challenging time.

She encouraged them to remain steadfast as they uphold the legacy of Paramount Chief Vibbi, who is widely regarded as a respected and influential figure in the chiefdom.

The First Lady’s outreach highlights the continued engagement between national leadership and traditional authorities, particularly during periods of family or community distress.
