Emmanuel Saidu Conteh a Member of Parliament from the All Peoples’ Congress Party APC was arrested for allegedly smuggling guns into the country at the Water Quay and investigation is presently ongoing into the said matter.

Conteh and 3 other unknown persons are said to have been involved in this act.

The full list of recovered ammunition into the said crime is as follow:

1. Seven pistols,

2. 100 live rounds

3. 12 magazines

They are presently detained at the Criminal Investigations Department helping the police with their investigation.
