Ahead of its 25th Anniversary celebration, RCBank has distributed a variety of gifts worth over NLE300,000 and a return Air ticket to lucky Staff on a raffle draw at Goderich in Freetown as a grand display of appreciation and motivation to staff of RCBank.
With Over 400 participants in the raffle draw, The Fun and sport day for Staff took place on Saturday April 27, the celebratory atmosphere targeted Staff from the Siaka Steven Street headquarters to its branches across the nation.
Speaking on the rationale behind the Fun and Sports day of RCBank, The Head of the Anniversary Committee Mrs. Millicent Cole revealed that the fun day and sports event for staff is among the series of activities ahead of the Bank’s 25th anniversary. She affirmed that customers of the Bank together with some Staff members donated the assorted gifts and the return ticket for the successful conduction of the Raffle.
Mrs. Cole extolled the longstanding harmonious relationship between RCBank and its customers, highlighting the customer-centric nature of the bank’s products and services, informed primarily by customer feedback.
Describing RCBank line of activities with customers and staff Ahead of the 25th Anniversary Celebration, Mrs. Cole said, “We stay consistent to what we are doing across all RCBank Branches in the country. We have raffle draws and sports like late for work, eating races, dancing competitions, etc. Staff will be winning Cements, Blenders, Return Air Ticket, assorted Food Items amongst others and refreshments to create a relaxing mood.”
She thanked some staff like Mrs. Veronica Williams, Joseph Kargbo, Ann-Marie Gegbai-Jalloh, Soko Kaisamba and others for their relentless efforts to convince customers on why they should support the fun day event for staff, she added that some other customers even rejected their various appeals for support but they were not down casted.
Similarly the Managing Director of RCBank described the Fun and Sports Day as a Platform where staff are compartmentalize into houses of different colors adding that the major focus is to encourage staff by creating a strong bond among one another in a healthy and friendly environment by promoting the values of exercise amongst staff to develop the mind affirming that a healthy mind comes from a healthy Body.
“So what we want is for staff to interact and be competitive and go back to their Professional World and bring the same qualities to build the bank, and the banking sector in Sierra Leone” Dr Gilpin stated.
The distributions of gifts to customers were done by staff with great delight, as the team distributed hundreds of assorted items to all their lucky Staff during the event. The MD & CEO specifically recognized high performing branches including Freetown Siaka Stevens Street Branch (FSSST), Clock Tower Branch and the SLRTC Outlet. In recognition of these branches, he commended Mr. Umaru Shyllon of FSSST, Mrs. Hannah Gibson of Clock Tower Branch and Mr. Mohamed Lungay of Rokel Bank SLRTC Outlet.
Mrs. Cole thanked the customers and staff for their successful participation and encouraged them to trust the Banking Process. She acknowledged that there are some challenges even outside the industry, but they will continue to work on them.
A beneficiary Staff at RCBank Moyamba Branch, Arthur Boima said, “I am very happy with what RCBank is doing for its staff. This afternoon I didn’t even know I was going to get a special one (1) Cartoon Padi Maggi gift that I will give to my wife. I am surprised and happy.”
Similarly, Hawanatu Bangura, Banking officer from Kenema District thanked RCBank and customers for the donated items. She added that she came at the event to partake in the bonding amongst staff and now she is returning with brand new Blender.
As the culmination of the grand display of Prizes, the donated items symbolize the deep connection between the bank and its diverse clientele.
