Popular businessman, Mohamed Gento Kamara has yesterday returned to Sierra Leone after a successful overseas trip, in order to focus on his ambition to become the next Mayor of Freetown Municipality.

He was received by hundreds of supporters as he spoke to them about his quest to become the next mayor of Freetown.

According to Gento, his quest to become the next mayor of Freetown is simply directing his developmental initiatives to provide better services and a suitable environment for Freetonians.

He will be vying for the position under the ruling Sierra Leone’s People Party (SLPP) in next year’s general elections.

Last week, the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Fatima Bio endorsed him to become the next Mayor of Freetown.

“All things aside, there are few Sierra Leoneans who will claim to know Freetown and the people more then Gento. Today politics is not about Tribe, Education, Money or Tradition but about impact and association. Mr. MOHAMED GENTO KAMARA we will support you (GBAIN GBAIN),” she posted on social media.

Gento is the Chief Executive Officer and Country Director of Gento Group. An indigenous company registered in Sierra Leone.

Gento Group is a leading construction company in Sierra Leone with services ranging from Building and Construction, Estates to Granite and Haulage services.

This the first time in the history of Sierra Leone that a Freetown born and groomed grassroot elite in the person of Mohamed Gento Kamara is contesting for the Mayor of Freetown.
