The Government of Sierra Leone and the European Union through their development cooperation in action have affected the construction of a 14Km road in the nation’s capital Freetown.

The Road Construction may start from the Makoloh Junction at the second tollgate through Songo to the Mabang Bridge.

According to the Director at the National Authorising Office, Sierra Leone supporting government of Sierra Leone and the European Union development cooperation, Ambrose James they have started the operations on the 1st November 2023, which marks the commencement date, and the official launch is set for the 15th November 2023 by the European Union delegation and the government of Sierra Leone.

The project has a two-way face being Lot 2A and 2B. The Lot 2A involve the construction of the Magbele bridge and Mabang bridge and the Lot 2B includes the rehabilitation of the road from Makoloh junction- Mabang Bridge (14Km).

The said project is being financed by the Government of Sierra Leone and the European Union respectively, which may be done by the CSE Company.
