The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, has officially approved and signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the implementation of the EMF District Farms Project.

This initiative is part of the “Everybody Must Farm” campaign aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity across the nation.

In a recent communication addressed to the Executive Secretary of EMF-SL, the government confirmed the temporary approval of the concept note submitted for review.

The letter, titled “Temporary Service Level Agreement Approval for Everybody Must Farm – Sierra Leone,” indicates that the proposal has been endorsed by the Review Committee and top management.

The government encourages EMF-SL to facilitate its registration with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MaPeD) and to actively pursue funding opportunities for the project’s activities in the targeted districts.

The communication emphasizes the importance of close collaboration with district officers from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security

Once funding is secured, EMF-SL will be required to declare the availability of these funds and sign the formal Service Level Agreement with the Honorable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.

This collaboration is expected to drive agricultural development and improve food security in Sierra Leone, aligning with the government’s broader economic goals.
