Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister of Information, Yusuf Keketomi Sandi has revealed that their government is working on means to extradite Netherlands-based Sierra Leonean, Abdul Will Kamara popularly known as Adebayor.

We started the process a long time ago and we will continue with the process,” Sandi said.

Adebayor is accused by the Sierra Leonean Government of incitement against the President and other top government officials.

Some locals have said his arrest is way overdue since they believe is responsible for several atrocities committed for the past five years in the country.

Government is following processes and standards on how to request for someone (Adebayor) we have enough evidence of,” the Deputy Information Minister revealed.

The Netherlands-based commentator is accused by some locals of orchestrating Sierra Leone’s deadly protest in August 10 last year.

The August 10 protest is the deadliest in Sierra Leone in decades as over 30 civilian and security personnel were reported dead.

Several properties were also destroyed.

Adebayor commands large following on social media where he releases his messages.

Security forces earlier this year warned against the sharing of content online that will ignite violence.
