The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Social Welfare (MOSW) of Sierra Leone has announced a temporary suspension on the registration of Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) and the issuance of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to partners.
This decision comes as the Ministry seeks to meticulously review and refine the existing procedures and processes related to SLA issuance and FBO registration.
According to the announcement, a dedicated review committee has been established for this purpose, comprising representatives from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MOPED) to ensure a comprehensive evaluation.
While this temporary hold may cause some inconvenience, the Ministry believes that this step will ultimately lead to more streamlined processes and improved service delivery for all stakeholders involved.
The Ministry noted that they are committed to providing updates to the public as the review process progresses and assures that the registration of Faith-Based Organizations and the issuance of Service Level Agreements will resume once the comprehensive review is concluded.
The Ministry of Social Welfare expresses regret for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their understanding and cooperation during this period of improvement and enhancement.
