The Ministry of Information and Civic Education started its Civic Day Series today at the Kambia District Council Hall, bringing the government closer to the people.

The two-day event was designed to engage local youth and provide a space for key stakeholders and government officials to talk about important national issues.

Among the topics covered were the 2025 Census, the Constitutional Review, the Big Five Game Changers, and important sectors like energy, health, and security.

Madam Salima Monorma Bah, the Minister of Communication Technology And Innovation, addressed the crowd today, talking about the Ministry’s work, its achievements, and the challenges it faces in meeting its goals.

As part of the event, Madam Bah also showed support for youth involvement by donating two laptops to the winners of the school debate and quiz competition.

Aminata Yansaneh from Linda Koroma Secondary School won first place in the debate, while Fatmata Sheku Bangura from Montana Secondary School took home the top prize in the quiz competition. Both students were recognized for their outstanding performances.
