The Government of Sierra Leone through Immigration Department is set to resume Naturalization process to foreigners who wish to become Sierra Leonean.

In a public notice issued by the Sierra Leone Immigration Department, the Naturalization process will resume on 15th October, 2024.

Foreign Nationals who wish to become Sierra Leonean are advised to obtained the Naturalization application form from the Office of the Chief Immigration Officer and upon completing the form provide requisite evidences.

Applicants should provide their application form with the original valid National Passport, 3 Passport-sized Photos, Birth Certificate (if Relevant), Marriage Certificate (if Relevant) Change of Name Deed (if Relevant), Evidence of Parents Status (if Relevant), Evidence of Residence in Sierra Leone for the Last Eight Years, Evidence of Travel in and Out of the COUNTRY for the Last Five Years, Evidence of Current Employment or Business, Evidence of Earning in the Last Five Years (Payslips/Bank Statements)

Applicants are advised to make sure they have the requisite evidences before applying to avoid delay or potential Refusal of Application.
