Guma Valley Water Company has announced a temporary water shutdown in Freetown on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The interruption is to facilitate maintenance work on damaged sections of the 28-inch transmission pipeline at Mambo and Banga Farm, Mile 13.

Management of Guma Valley Water Company has apologized to customers for any inconvenience the shutdown may cause and assured the public that efforts will be made to complete the work and restore water supply within the stated timeframe.
