The Guma Valley Water Company has announced that the water supply will be shut down today in Freetown, between the hours of 11:00am to 3:00 pm.
This is as a result of the damaged transmission pipelines at the mile 13 which is responsible to supply water to Freetown.
The Guma Valley Company will be facilitating repairs of the damaged sections on the 22- and 28-inches transmission pipelines at the mile 13 within the four hours of the shutdown. The general public is therefore advised to manage the little water they have for the time being and assures to fix the damaged pipelines as soon as possible.
Guma valley water company therefore, apologizes for any convenience that may be caused by this necessary disruption in service and plead with the general public to bare patience with them to repair this damaged transmision pipelines in order to ensure supply of clean and pure water.
