Deputy Internal Affairs Minister Lahai Lawrence Leema has reported to the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) that his Facebook account has been hacked by unknown hackers.

The revelation was made by the Head of operations, Criminal Investigation Department ( CID), superintendent Francis Lebbie during the usual police press briey on Thursday 14th July 2022.

Superintendent Lebbie disclosed that on Wednesday 6th July 2022, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs , Lahai Lawrence Leema, a resident of Gloucester Village, reported that on Friday 1stn July 2022, during the morning hours, he discovered that certain individual hacked his Facebook account with Lawrence Leema, and at the same time impersonating his personality in a bid to damage his reputation and make him look low in the eyes of the rightful Sierra Leonean

Lebbie told Journalist s that the Investigation is in active progress , adding that the Cyber Unit of the criminal Investigation department ( CID) has sent request to the. National Tele-communication Commission ( NatCOM) and other mobile companies.

He also disclosed that the police intend to write to Facebook in a bid to get information about the alleged hackers
