Sierra Leone has today Saturday 24th, June 2023 taken to the polls to elect its leader for the next five years.

According to our observers in the Bonthe District Southern Province of the country, voting has commenced in the different centers though some centers started a bit late to the stipulated 7: am Voting time.

It was reported that Gbageima court barray in mattru Jong Bonthe district started the voting process at 8:45 am.

The situation in the ground is peaceful as voters are observing the process smoothly.

Bonthe District is a district that comprises several islands and mainland of the Atlantic Ocean in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone. Bonthe is one of the sixteen districts of Sierra Leone. Its capital is the town of Bonthe Island and its largest city is Bonthe on Sherbro Island.
Bonthe District is subdivided into eleven chiefdoms.
