The Sierra Leone High Commission in Ghana has strongly refuted circulating social media claims that High Commissioner Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba was apprehended in Accra with cocaine.
In an official press statement, the High Commission condemned the allegations as “false, malicious, and baseless,” emphasizing that such defamatory claims aim to damage the personal integrity of the High Commissioner and tarnish the reputation of Sierra Leone.
The statement reaffirmed that High Commissioner Kaisamba has never engaged in any unlawful or dishonorable conduct that could disgrace himself, his office, or the Republic of Sierra Leone.
As a dedicated diplomat and representative of Sierra Leone, the High Commissioner has consistently upheld the highest standards of professionalism, dignity, and integrity while strengthening bilateral ties between Sierra Leone and Ghana.
The High Commission described the allegations as a “desperate attempt to smear” Kaisamba, calling it an “affront to truth and justice.” It urged the public to reject the false claims and avoid being misled by malicious propaganda.
Additionally, the Commission stated that irrefutable evidence would soon be presented to expose the source of the misinformation, which it described as a case of “malicious manipulation” by a foreign news outlet.
The High Commission assured the public that High Commissioner Kaisamba remains committed to serving Sierra Leone with unwavering dedication and integrity.
It also reiterated its stance against misinformation, urging individuals and media entities to refrain from spreading unverified claims that could harm national interests.
I think our brothers on the other side of the divide have nothing to say about their colleagues on the other side, except defaming others whose records have always remained credible. We continue to watch closely and see how voters will respond in 2028. Lol!
