The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sierra Leone (ICASL) has officially cleared Mrs. Lara Taylor-Pearce, former Auditor-General of Sierra Leone, and Mr. Tamba Momoh, former Deputy Auditor-General, of any allegations of misconduct during their tenure at the Audit Service Sierra Leone.

The ICASL’s Investigation Committee Report has concluded that both individuals acted with integrity and upheld the highest professional standards while carrying out their duties.

The report emphasized that they followed international auditing guidelines and worked in the best interest of the public throughout their service.

“There were no instances of professional misconduct or ethical breaches, as outlined in the ICASL Code of Ethics and the standards set by the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSSAI),” the report stated, firmly absolving the two former officials of any wrongdoing.

This announcement comes after a thorough investigation by ICASL into their professional conduct, affirming that both Mrs. Taylor-Pearce and Mr. Momoh maintained the required ethical and professional standards expected of Chartered & Certified Accountants.

As a result, they can continue their careers without any legal impediments or doubts surrounding their professional integrity.

The clearance of Mrs. Taylor-Pearce and Mr. Momoh restores their reputations, reinforcing their standing within the auditing community and Sierra Leone at large.
