The Institute for Legal Research and Advocacy for Justice (ILRAJ) has recently issued a warning to the citizens of Sierra Leone regarding the act of purchasing or selling Voter Registration Cards.
In accordance with ILRAJ, engaging in the buying or selling of Voter Registration Cards is considered a serious criminal offense. Those found guilty may face severe consequences, such as a minimum fine of 20,000 Leones, imprisonment for up to 5 years, or a combination of both penalties.
ILRAJ strongly emphasizes the importance of safeguarding the integrity of our electoral system. They earnestly encourage all Sierra Leoneans to play an active role in this effort by promptly reporting any instances of vote buying or selling.
