Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs (MLGCA) has announced date for the induction of Mayors, District Chairpersons and Councilors of Local Councils.

This was communicated on a public notice issued out by the Ministry on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023.

The Ministry stated in the notice that the induction of the respective heads will commence on the 8th August, 2023 across the Country.

It further informed that the induction ceremonies are to be officiated by the Vice President of the country, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, who doubles as the Chairman of the Inter- Ministerial Committee on Local Government.

The Ministry conclusively promised to publish and notify all Local Councils of specific itinerary, noting that the program of events will be sent to Chief Administrators of the respective Councils.
