Prominent All People’s Congress (APC) politician, Sheikh Mohamed Omodu Kamara, widely known as Jagaban, has visited the Council of Pastors in Sierra Leone in Grafton, Western Rural, where he pledged NLE 250 million to support the council’s initiatives.

The visit aimed to strengthen relationships between national religious communities and promote religious tolerance.

During the engagement held at Christ Temple Ministry International Church, Jagaban announced a significant financial contribution to aid the Council of Pastors in their work.

Furthermore, Mr. Kamara addressed specific needs outlined by the Council, including financial assistance for acquiring office space, a service bus, and land for future development projects. This commitment indicates a focus on fostering the long-term growth and capacity of the religious sector.

The event, organized by the Council of Pastors, featured Pastor Fredric Mansaray as the keynote speaker. Notably, Mr. Kamara’s visit marks the first instance of a national leader engaging with the Council since its establishment in 2018, highlighting the significance of his outreach to the nation’s religious leaders.

The donation and engagement are seen by many as a move to further solidify Mr. Kamara’s prominence in his political career.
