A young graduate, Joshua Mansaray, has died after he was allegedly attacked by a group of motorbike riders who reportedly mistook him for a thief.
According to information gathered, Mansaray had earlier visited the Youyi Building, where he performed with a live band. On his return home, he boarded an okada. Reports indicate that along the way, some bike riders suspected him of theft. In an attempt to escape, he ran but was pursued and severely beaten.
He later succumbed to his injuries.
Sources say Joshua Mansaray had graduated only last month and was widely described as a young man with great potential. He was allegedly said to be close to Fatima Bio.
The incident has sparked sadness and concern, renewing calls against mob justice and the dangers of false accusations. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement as investigations are expected to continue.
