Junior staff members of Sierra Mineral Holdings have issued a stern 21-day ultimatum to the company’s management, warning of an imminent industrial strike if key demands are not met.

In a letter addressed to the Human Resources Manager on Monday, November 25, 2024, the employees outlined a series of grievances requiring immediate attention.

The staff demanded the following actions from the company:

Full Salary Payment for November: The employees insisted on receiving complete salaries for the current month and an end to administrative leave policies.

Immediate Payment of Leave Allowances: The workers requested outstanding leave allowances for remaining staff to be disbursed without delay.

Timely NASSIT Payments: The staff called for the settlement of overdue National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) contributions and demanded that all employees be provided with statements of accounts as proof of payment.

300% Salary Increment and Food Provision: The workforce requested a threefold increase in salaries and a minimum of two meals per day for all junior staff.

The letter concluded with a firm warning that failure to meet these demands within the 21-day period would result in a complete cessation of work. The junior staff emphasized that an industrial strike involving the entire general workforce would be activated if management failed to address their concerns
