Sierra Leone’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Excellency Timothy Musa Kabba, met with Sierra Leonean students and community members in Moscow during his recent visit to Russia.
The gathering took place at the Embassy’s Conference Room, providing an opportunity for the Minister to engage with Sierra Leoneans living in the Russian Federation.
Minister Kabba shared President Bio’s commitment to education and human capital development, emphasizing the importance of academic success for the students. He also confirmed his support for the annual student conference planned for later this year.
In his address, His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Yongawo urged the students to focus on their studies and strive for excellence, welcoming the new Financial Attaché, Mr. Ibrahim Sorie Bangura, and expressed his appreciation for the work of the outgoing Financial Attaché, Mr. Ezekiel Ganawah, in establishing a strong financial system for the Embassy.
Abdul Karim William, representing the student community, raised concerns about delayed stipends and asked Minister Kabba for assistance in resolving this issue. Despite these challenges, he expressed gratitude to the government and the Embassy for their ongoing support and guidance.
