Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Kadijatu Grace Ahene Kamara has been awarded the United States President’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

She expressed total satisfaction over the award as she shared the news with Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad, maintaining that she will formally receive the United States President’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Washington D.C., during the 10th Year Anniversary of the African & Caribbean International Leadership Conference on the 16- 18 November 2023.

Her message reads: “I am humbled and deeply honored to share some incredible news with you. On November 16th-18th, 2023, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Washington D.C., during the 10th Year Anniversary of the African & Caribbean International Leadership Conference, I will be receiving the United States President’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

“This award holds a special place in my heart as it recognizes the tireless efforts and dedication towards community development, humanitarian outreach, and initiatives that strive to inspire hope and foster healing within the United States, Sierra Leone, and beyond. It is a testament to the power of collective action and the difference we can make when we come together for a common cause. 

“I extend my deepest gratitude to all of you who have been a part of this incredible journey. Your support, encouragement, and belief in the vision of a better world have been my driving force.
