The Kambia District Students’ Association (KaDSA) has recognized Emma I. Kamara, the district’s top-performing student in the 2024 National Primary School Examination (NPSE).

Emma, a pupil of KDEC Primary School, Magboka, achieved an outstanding score of 325 marks, securing her admission to Movement of Faith Islamic Secondary School in Kassirie.

In a ceremony to celebrate her achievement, KaDSA presented Emma with essential school supplies, a move aimed at encouraging her and other students to pursue academic excellence. This gesture is part of KaDSA’s ongoing efforts to promote education and reward top-performing students across the district.

Despite these efforts, KaDSA is grappling with financial difficulties that threaten the continuity of such initiatives. The association has called for support from the public and stakeholders to ensure it can continue recognizing and aiding high-achieving students like Emma. KaDSA emphasized that with adequate funding, it could expand its reach and inspire more students to achieve their academic goals.

Emma’s achievement, a testament to the district’s potential, has brought attention to the need for sustained investment in education to nurture future talent in Kambia.
