Popular Sierra Leonean female blogger, Sarah Kallay has responded to First Lady Fatima Bio over misinformation saga on social media and rendered apologies to the First Lady.
Sarah Kallay started by clearing the fact that she was not the first person to post the video on social media. She added that her action was not done to upset the first lady but rather, wanted for the issue to be addressed looking at the severity of the allegations.
Kallay said the video was first posted by Prince Pee on Facebook accusing First Lady Fatima Bio of demolishing his mother’s church, and she later reposted it on her page with the caption “Prince Pee make serious allegations against First Lady”.
She disclosed that before reposting the video on her page, she made a call to the communication specialist of the First Lady Bampia to draw their attention to the video with the thought that as a communication specialist a statement debunking the allegations against the First Lady should have be issued.
She continued that after a while, she received a call from Bampia telling her to delete her post which she refused stating that it was not first posted by her but later assisted them in getting the contact of the guy who posted the video.
She further explained that she was later informed that the demolition was done by the Ministry of Defence wherein she obtained the press release from the ministry concerning the demolition and made an article.
Sarah accused the communication department of the First Lady of misinforming Fatima Bio on what really transpired between them and later apologized to the First Lady, adding that she only responded because it involved the First Lady and the issue is a sensitive one.

Hmm Fake and useless bloggers everywhere on Facebook. How can a blogger post fake information against her Excellency Dr Fatima Maada Bio. They have been doing this on Facebook posting fake information against celebrities and now they are too susy in make fake claims against Her Excellency and Her Husband which is very wrong. They just hate them for no good reason. Imagine after scandalizing her Excellency she later realizes the truth and shed crocodile tears apologizing to her. What a fake pretence.
Bloggers are lucky in sierra leone.Please mama Bio first lady accept her apology as she have learnt her lessons.
The so-called bloggers can never do proper findings before such information is been posted.
The 1st lady could have handled this better. Instead of going on the rant blaming and cursing at the journalist. Public figures are scrutinized all over the world and those that do not like the scrutiny quit politics. She just portrayed herself as an ANGRY BLACK WOMAN. She let her anger overshadowed the message she was sending. She couldhave come out calm and deny the allegations and people will believe her. By ran ranting on the video, everyone is now taling about an ANGRY 1ST LADY. Your emotions should never control your sense of reasoning and composure. She failed in the delivery of her response.
Any serious journalist, if she can be called that, would have first contacted and spoken multiple sources to ascertain the veracity of the story before publishing it. Lucky for her the First Lady is not vindictive or litigatious, or she would be fighting a civil lawsuit for defamation. I hope this will serve as warning, and to always confirm and verify stories before publishing them.
Ooooooo yaaaaa some of you guys will not understand. This is an accusation of demolishing a Church and the first lady is a Muslim what do you expect her to do?. She did the right thing.
Now if the posted is arrested for false allegation some of guys again will complain.
They should also call and order Prince Pee to delete the post 😂😂😂😂 funny people everywhere. The message has been passed already.
