Hon. Alusine Kanneh has officially resigned from his position as Chairman of Kamboi Eagles Football Club, effective August 13, 2025.

In a letter addressed to club member Pa Joseph S. Keifala, Hon. Kanneh explained that the decision came after “much consideration and reflection,” noting that it was time to hand over leadership to someone who could bring “fresh perspectives” to move the club forward.

During his tenure, he said he felt honored to work with a passionate and dedicated team, highlighting the achievements and growth of the Eagles both on and off the field. “Together, we have achieved great success… however, I believe it is now time for fresh leadership to take the club to the next level,” he stated.

As part of the transition, Hon. Kanneh recommended Vice Chairman Alhaji Idris Kamara to succeed him, describing him as “an integral part of the leadership team” who has demonstrated commitment and dedication to the Eagles. He further assured that he would work closely with Kamara to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities.

Hon. Kanneh expressed gratitude to the entire Kamboi Eagles family for their support during his leadership and extended best wishes for the club’s continued success.
