Renowned musician and Peace Ambassador Amara Dennis Turay, popularly known as Kao Denero, paid a courtesy visit to Sierra Leone’s Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, at her office in Bishop House, Freetown.
The visit comes as Kao Denero prepares for his major musical event on November 2, 2024, at Sugar Land Beach in Goderich.
During the meeting, Kao Denero congratulated Minister James-Teima on her historic appointment as Sierra Leone’s first female sports minister. He praised her dedication to developing the sports sector and her efforts to foster unity within the football community. Kao Denero particularly commended the minister for her role in supporting the Leone Stars, who recently secured a notable victory against Ivory Coast, the reigning African champions, in a match held in Liberia.
The musician also requested the minister’s support for his upcoming show, highlighting their mutual interest in advancing national development through youth engagement and peacebuilding.
In response, Minister James-Teima expressed her appreciation for the visit, lauding Kao Denero’s efforts to promote peace through his music. She reaffirmed her commitment to backing initiatives that benefit the youth and community, stating, “My doors are always open for positive contributions.”
