Reports reaching Sierraloaded has indicated that the Paramount Chief of Bombali Shebora Chiefdom, Bai Shebora Kasanga II has passed away.

Hinted information said that the influential chief passed away in the United States where he was receiving treatment for an ailment.

Late on Monday evening, Sierra Eye reported that the chief was seriously.

Chief Kasanga II has been occupying the Bombali Shebora throne since 1993.

His 28-year reign was disrupted by a three-year hiatus after rebels from the Revolutionary United Front (RUF) forced him to flee in 1993 returning in 2001.

His chiefdom encompasses the vibrant northern city of Makeni where his office is headquartered.

Some locals in the city, early on Tuesday morning, expressed their sympathy describing the late man as fatherly figure and a great loss to the city.
