Residents of Kenema have identified a man suspected of murdering his employer, a popular Lebanese businessman, following a tense confrontation.
The alleged incident took place in the early hours of Friday, September 13, 2024, when suspicions were raised about the servant boy working for the businessman.
According to an online video circulating on social media, locals near the residence of the deceased became alarmed after the businessman, known as Pa Salim, failed to respond to multiple calls.
Neighbors reported that it was highly unusual for the businessman to remain silent, which prompted concern among those familiar with him.
Suspicion mounted when residents witnessed the servant boy attempting to open Pa Salim’s shop with excessive force instead of using the appropriate keys. When asked how he obtained the shop’s key, the boy claimed it was given to him by his boss.
However, bystanders noted that the main gate to the house was closed, raising questions about how he accessed his boss inside the house to receive the key. This strange behavior drew further attention, prompting some bystanders to approach the boy and question his actions. He claimed that his employer was fine and invited the group to verify the situation by entering the house.
The tension escalated when the locals grabbed the servant by his clothes and threatened to take him to the police for further questioning. As the confrontation unfolded, many speculated that the servant had committed a gruesome act, leading to the tragic death of the businessman.

A very serious mistake made by H.E President Bio is repealing of the death penalty. People now kill with impunity in Sierra Leone, knowing that they will not be killed. Murderers are sent to prison. After few months/years, the APC thugs break in and free them. This is a very serious situation that should be revisited by the government.
