The Kenema Regional Government Hospital has carried out its full monthly cleaning exercise, joining other government hospitals across the country in reaffirming its commitment to quality healthcare service delivery.

The comprehensive exercise covered all hospital units, consultation rooms, wards, and the entire hospital environment. The initiative is aimed at maintaining a clean and safe working environment, strengthening Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures, and improving overall patient care.

Hospital authorities noted that the cleaning exercise comes at a significant time as the official launch of the 300 Days of Activism draws near. The activity aligns with the government’s Zero-Zero-Zero Strategy, which promotes zero infection, zero preventable deaths, and zero tolerance for poor sanitation in healthcare facilities.

According to the hospital’s management, maintaining a clean hospital environment remains fundamental to ensuring patient safety, preventing the spread of infections, and achieving improved health outcomes.

The exercise demonstrated the strong dedication of the hospital’s leadership and staff, who worked collectively to uphold high standards of hygiene, teamwork, and efficient service delivery for the people of Kenema and surrounding communities.

The monthly cleaning initiative continues to serve as a practical step toward strengthening the health system and enhancing public confidence in healthcare services within the region.
