The Management of Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority EDSA has issued a press release for the people of Kono as they will experience a power shortage for some hours on the 18th and 19th of November 2022 due to some work.
The press release reads
“The Management of Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority wishes to inform residents of Koidu Town, Kono District that the EPC Contractor Alpha TND will Carry out critical network construction activity along the 225kV Bikingor/Bumpe Substation leading to Koidu Town.
In view of the above, residents of Koidu Town and its environs will experience power outages on the following dates:
18th of November 2022 from 9 am to 6 pm and 19th of November 2020 from 9 am to 6 pm.
The purpose of the construction is to complete the reinforcement of the lines and stringing of the new 33kV Octae Mining Overhead distribution line with 150 Sqmm ACS Conductors.
Moreover, the Authority apologizes for the inconvenience this situation may cause to residents of Koidu Town while assuring them of nthe normal power supply when the work shall have been completed as stipulated above.
