Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown has remanded Johnson Bisman Kamara, a labourer, who appeared on allegations of wounding with intent.

Kamara faces three charges: wounding with intent, wounding, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, contrary to Section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.

According to the charge sheet, Kamara allegedly wounded James Demby on Wednesday, 5th November 2025, at Fourah Bay Road with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The prosecution further alleges that on the same date and location, Kamara maliciously wounded and assaulted Demby, causing actual bodily harm.

When the charges were read, no plea was taken.

Magistrate Fornah refused bail, citing the seriousness of the offences, and ordered that Kamara be remanded in custody. The matter was adjourned to 10th December 2025 for further hearing.
