Two major players in Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry, LAKE Group of Companies and Chapter One SL Limited, have formalized a strategic partnership to jointly organize the 8th edition of the country’s flagship pageant, Miss Freetown 2026.

The agreement was sealed during an official signing ceremony held Thursday at Chapter One’s conference facility in Aberdeen, Freetown. Senior executives from both organizations attended, signaling a significant collaboration aimed at redefining the standards of pageantry and live entertainment in Sierra Leone.

Representing LAKE Group were Chief Operating Officer Musa Kamara, Director of Event Management Augusta Bondu, Director of Planning and Production Claude Kamanda, Director of Marketing and Branding Antoinette Shyllon, and Executive Director of Miss Freetown Moi Tarawally. Chapter One’s delegation included Managing Director Fredrico De-Silva and Head of Operations Tawanda Chinodya, alongside other senior officials.

The 2026 edition of Miss Freetown comes at a milestone moment for LAKE Group, which marks 15 years since the brand’s inception in 2011. Over the years, the event has evolved from a national beauty pageant into a broader platform focused on fashion, empowerment, and cultural representation, gaining recognition beyond Sierra Leone.

Organizers say the partnership leverages LAKE Group’s long-standing experience in event production with Chapter One’s positioning as a premium hospitality and nightlife brand. The collaboration is expected to deliver a high-end production with expanded audience engagement and enhanced event experiences.

Miss Freetown 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, November 28, at the Chapter One poolside venue on Lumley Beach Road in Aberdeen. The event will adopt a “2-in-1” format, beginning with the grand pageant at 7:00 PM, followed by an exclusive after-party extending into the early hours of the next day.

Details regarding ticket sales and VIP reservations are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, with organizers indicating that sponsorship opportunities and audition processes will also be opened to the public.

Industry observers note that the partnership reflects a broader trend of consolidation and collaboration within Sierra Leone’s entertainment sector, as stakeholders seek to scale productions and attract both local and international audiences.
