A total of 652 lambs have been sacrificed in the outskirts of the Muslim’s Holy City of Makkah on Friday as part of the Hajj rituals for all the Sierra Leonean pilgrims participating in this year’s Hajj.
A member of the Presidential Hajj Task Force in Sierra Leone responsible for rituals, Dr Chernor Ibrahim Bah described the sacrifice as very significant for the pilgrims.
“The sacrifice is very relevant for the pilgrims. Without it, their Hajj is incomplete,” he said.
Dr. Bah said the government of His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio ensured that a lamb is slaughtered for each pilgrim that went for the Hajj, something he said is an obligatory ritual for the Hajj.
