The Internationally acclaimed Lawyer, Lansana Kottor Kamara, has been appointed by the government of Sierra Leone as Supreme Court Registrar.
Lawyer Lansana Kottor Kamara, was born in Kabala, Koinadugu District, where he completed his primary education and proceeded to the St. Edwards Secondary School, Freetown.
He studied General at Law School graduated in International Criminal Law at the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. He also Sierra Leone Mines and Mineral Studies and Legal & Business Consultant- Class of 2005. Masters Degree at the International Maritime Law Institute, Accra, Ghana.
In 2008, he represented former Liberian President Charles Taylor at the International Criminal Court in the Hague, Netherlands.
Lawyer Kottor Kamara has also served as member of the legal team of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).
He also served as magistrate at the City Council Court in Freetown and at the Office of Master and Registrar.
Recently, the The Supreme Court, under the leadership of Chief Justice Babatunde Edwards and the newly appointed Supreme Court Registrar, Mr. Kottor Kamara Esq, has been hard at work to clear all backlog cases filed at the registry that had been left dormant all these years.
A keen sportsman and philanthropist who has contributed immensely towards the socio-economic and legal development of both his home district of Koinadugu and Sierra Leone in general.
