The United Kingdom High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Lisa Chesney, announced a comprehensive 3-day tour across the country, aiming to engage directly with a diverse range of Sierra Leonean voices, from political parties and business leaders to academics and activists.
Chesney emphasized the UK’s commitment to understanding and connecting with various perspectives within Sierra Leone. “Today, I am journeying beyond the capital to engage with Sierra Leone’s political factions, the business community, scholars, activists, and community figureheads,” she said.
She added, “The UK is deeply interested in hearing from all corners and I am eager to meet and interact with as many individuals as possible during my travels outside Freetown over the next three days.”
This initiative underscores the UK’s dedication to fostering deeper ties and understanding with Sierra Leone’s multifaceted society.
