Today, British High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Lisa J. Chesney, met with President Julius Maada Bio at State House for a formal farewell. Chesney, who has served as the UK’s diplomatic representative in Sierra Leone, concluded her tenure after a period marked by significant collaboration between the two nations.
Throughout her time in office, Chesney has been a prominent figure in strengthening the historical ties between Sierra Leone and the United Kingdom.
Her efforts have included working closely with President Bio and the Sierra Leonean government to enhance bilateral relations, advance progressive reforms, and support key development and peace initiatives.
