Love Salone Laf Bad Heart Movement has today issued a press release in response to the press release from the SLPP in relation to threats against First Lady, Fatima Bio by their CEO, Adebayoh.
On Friday 18th March 2022, Adebayoh issued an audio message in which direct threats to kill the First Lady were made, leading the Secretariat and Executive of the SLPP to issue an arrest notice for Adebayor.
Love Salone Lef Bad Heart has responded that, “We want the SLPP and its cowardly members to understand that there are multiple threats from the First Lady herself that are presently on record with the ICC, including audio recordings of her calling for mob justice, the killing of innocent civilians in Makeni and the killing of 105 prisoners in Pademba Road Prison commanded by the President and First Lady and carried out by the presidential guards. Although the whole country mourned those lives, the SLPP never issued a press release or made any statement to show its regrets or sympathy to the country or the families affected.”
They alleged that everybody in Sierra Leone knows that cannibalism, rape and kidnapping are common today because of the First Lady and the President, the first time in our country’s history, adding that the SLPP has never issued a single press release about this carnage or made efforts to stop the violence because the people killed are from the North or the West.
“The murder of a 14-year-old boy from the North was also never condemned or investigated by the police. Similarly, the killing of innocent people in Lonsar was also never reported or investigated. Nor was the gang rape of a lady called Isata Lamin by 11 executive members of the SLPP. In all these cases, we have provided evidence to the ICC and the people of Sierra Leone can prove it,” they further alleged.
The movement added that, “Also, because Adebayoh is the true spokesperson for the people, the First Lady has been calling for people to kill Adebayoh and his supporters and has paid bodyguards in the State House to carry out her orders. She is also on record calling for his body to be barbequed. Where is the press release for this?”
They noted that the President has called his own people terrorists and one of his Ministers, Abu Abu, has threatened to kill anyone who comes out to protest on the streets.
“In fact, he has carried out that despicable threat, killing many people in Makeni, the details of which are held by the ICC. Is this not a threat designed to instigate civil or tribal war?” They stated.
They further allege that, “The bodyguards of the President and First Lady have also threatened the lives of ordinary civilians and opposition parties, especially the APC and its leaders, telling them they will kill them and wipe out their families. Indeed, there is an audio recording of a high-profile SLPP member, Austin Johnny, calling for the killing of the APC leader and the opposition, along with their wives and their children and for their houses to be burned down.”
“The SLPP do not think that these threats are serious and never issue a press release or demand a police investigation about these calls for multiple murders and atrocities. By contrast, all Love Salone press releases and evidence are with the ICC and openly available on social media. When the time comes, the world will see the proof,” they added.
“The Love Salone movement will continue to protect the interests and rights of the people and maintain peace and order in the country. We would like to thank our international partners and communities for their support for, and interest in, Sierra Leone. We thank the United Nations, European Union, African Union and the US and British governments for the steps they are taking to uncover the truth for the benefit of the common people. Finally, we would like to send a message to all our supporters and sympathizers in the country and around the world to remain calm and follow the law. Let us continue our fight for justice for the country and the people,” they noted.
