A Sierra Leonean activist and politicians has publicly alleged that President Julius Maada Bio has directed the Judiciary of Sierra Leone to issue a death warrant against him in an effort to silence his advocacy work. The claim, made via a social media post on November 2025, has sparked discussions about the relationship between political authority and judicial independence in the country.
According to the him, his surety had previously paid Thirty Million Old Leones (equivalent to Le30,000 in the new currency) to the Judiciary through the Bank of Sierra Leone in April 2025 as part of a legal process related to his case. He alleged that since the payment was made on April 14th, the matter had not been called again until the Judiciary recently reissued another bench warrant for his arrest.
The politician characterized the development as a politically motivated attempt to suppress his voice and activism, asserting his commitment to “stand and be the voice for the voiceless.” He further indicated plans to release an official press statement on the matter.
At the time of this report, there has been no official response from the Office of the President, the Judiciary of Sierra Leone, or law enforcement authorities regarding the allegations. The U.S. Embassy, the British High Commission, and the European Union delegation in Sierra Leone were mentioned in the activist’s post, though none have issued public statements.

One thing I can’t understand here is the continuous denials put forward by Kamarainba in a case of underage girl penetration. This is an issue with the state and not president Bio. He needs to stand before the court to prove his innocent not blab blab on social media.
You can not violate State laws under the guise of political hunt; never. If you’re not guilty come over and not allow yourself to be extradited.
Of course it’s no doubt your political career for Sierra Leone is over, find something else to do for the sake of survival.Lol.
