Supporters of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party on Monday came out in huge numbers welcoming their 2012 Presidential flagbearer Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio in the eastern part of Sierra Leone in his purported social mobilization tour.

Bio, who has been out of the country for almost a year recently jet in to do what he describes as “Social Mobilization” purported expressing thanks and appreciations to the people of the country for their commitment and effective contribution in the fight against the deadly Ebola disease; an issue think thanks in the SLPP have described as a sell-out orchestrated by President Ernest Bai Koroma.

His recent bed relationship with the ruling APC led Government of President Ernest Bai Koroma has left a big wounds in the mind of some of his party supporters owing to the fact that their expectations from somebody they trusted beat their imagination.

Other Political Commentators view Bio’s social mobilization tour as a deliberate plot of the APC to silence other strong political contenders within the SLPP like Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella among others who they consider as heavy weights in the political landscape.
