The Mayor of Freetown Yevonne Aki-Sawyer, The Chief Administrator – Raman Tom Farmar and a host of other technical and administrative staff have paid courtesy visit on the the Commissioner of the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina on Friday 12th July 2024.

The meeting was a courtesy call meant to strengthen this collaboration and enhance delivery of the Green Public Works (GPW) and Digital Public Work (DPW) subprojects of the Productive Social Safety Net and Youth Employment (PSSNYE) project.

In his statement, the Commissioner welcomed the FCC team and assured them of his team’s commitment to effective delivery of the entire PSSNYE project development objectives under his leadership.

It could be recalled that NaCSA is leading the implementation of the Productive Social Safety Net and Youth Employment (PSSNYE) project.

The project builds on the successes of the Social Safety Net (SSN) project and aims to target One Hundred Thousand Households across the sixteen districts in Sierra Leone. Beyond its inclusivity, the PSSNYE has been positioned to respond to the aspirations outlined in the Big Five Game Changers and the national development agenda of His Excellency Dr Julius Maada Bio.

A critical sub-component of the PSSNYE project is the Green Public Works (GPW) implemented by the Freetown City Council. To ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the GPW and part of the Digital Public Workrs, NaCSA and FCC has collaborated.
